In the past, I have used emotional binge eating to alleviate emotional pain — a lack of self worth — so diet and exercise alone never work in the long term because they never address the root cause of our weight issue, which is an emotional dysfunction. Once I was able to resolve my deep seeded emotion (a like lack of self worth), then I was able to make a sustainable weight loss and change by aligning my brain’s mind with my body’s mind.
